BOWLING GREEN, KY—According to the Corvette Blogger, the first E-Ray Corvettes have rolled off the assembly line at the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Initial production of the E-Ray was first reported back in December, 2023, as per The Detroit News. According to the article, GM launching Corvette E-Ray production this week, the plant had alerted employees there would be filming inside the plant to document the historical moment.
The E-Ray was announced on Corvette's 70th birthday in January, 2023 when GM revealed the first-ever electrified Corvette with all-wheel-drive and a 6.2-liter, V-8 engine. The 2024 Corvette E-Ray costs $104,900 for the 1LZ coupe and $111,900for the 1LZ convertible.
The E-Ray is the quickest Corvette in a straight line, accelerating from 0-60 mph in just 2.5 seconds.
