Manufacturers Consider Microfactories

Traditionally, factories require big footprints with large assembly lines and lots of fixed production equipment. However, a new concept called a “microfactory” offers an alternative that is especially appealing to many start-up electric vehicle manufacturers. These smaller, highly automated factories could enable manufacturers to be more flexible and responsive to customers in local markets.
