Solar Module Assembly Plant Coming to North Carolina
GREENVILLE, NC—Vietnamese solar manufacturer Boviet Solar will invest $294 million to build its first North American assembly plant here.
The plant will be able to produce 2 gigawatts of solar modules annually, as well as 2 gigawatts of solar cells annually. The plant will produce Boviet’s range of tunnel oxide passivated contact n-type cells, for use in monofacial and bifacial solar panels, which can be deployed at both utility-scale and distributed operations.
