VERNON HILLS, IL—Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc. has introduced the ARIA (Automated Robotic Industrial Assistant), its latest pre-engineered workcell.
ARIA can carry a payload of up to 28.6 pounds and has a reach of 59.2 inches. Designed for standalone use or integration into larger systems, ARIA features two base options: “standard” for flexibility and mobility across industries, and “machine tool” for tending CNC mills, lathes and other machine tools.
The workcell is mounted on casters so it can be positioned to service various machines as needed. The workcell features a six-axis collaborative robot, an FX5 programmable logic controller, network switch, and operator station with button panel. Options include simulation software, force sensors, teach pendant, and multiple HMIs.
